Does the engine contain any methods or functions to find nodes in some kind of radius or “sphere” around other node ?
Don’t think there’s any built-in function to do this, you’d probably have to use raycasting. Or you could use an invisible node to check if it collides with anything.
There is also a PhysicsWorld ray cast (which also has an issue to expose box/sphere casts).
For generic scene nodes, you would need to iterate and check a bounding box/sphere
