Better editor navigation and placement tools

When you drag and drop something in the editor, it doesn’t snap to a surface, it just stays there floating at some arbitrary position, a simple improvement would be snapping the origin to colliders surfaces like in Unity, optionally also snapping to geometry could be of some use, however, placement tools are important and we should go even further and provide handy hotkeys and snapping and alignment with a single click like in CryEngine, and even better, provide placement brushes with settings like randomization scattering and clash detection.
Navigation is also a bit wonky, I really like how CryEngine solved that simply by adding a simple speed multiplier and also modifier keys, which afaik we don’t have in the editor what can make it a bit painful to move around the scene.
Don’t know if these should be separate wishes.
